Your Choice: Relist, Collect or Both
The ReliaBid seal should reduce the incidence of non-paying bidders in your auctions by over 99 percent. If you should ever receive a non-paying bidder, however, you have the choice to either relist the item or try to complete the transaction with the assistance of a debt collection firm.
Should you choose to collect, the process is easy. With only a few clicks you can start a series of collection letters to be sent to the non-paying bidder. The non-paying bidder is asked to complete the transaction and informed his/her legal obligations as the winning bidder, and the possible consequences of not completing the transaction, including potential credit reporting.
ReliaBid's special offering even allows you to relist your item and still get compensated for having a non-paying bidder. When ReliaBid automatically protects your auction, a restocking fee statement is added to your listing. If you choose to collect and you do not get paid immediately, you will be able to relist your item and sell it to another bidder thirty days after the collection is initiated. While you relist, the debt collection firm will continue to pursue collection of the restocking fee (of $10 + 20% of the close price, up to $500) on your behalf.
