Tips to Complete More Sales with ReliaBid:

  • Wait a minimum of seven days before reporting a buyer as a non-paying bidder.
  • When sending the sold item invoice to the buyer, be sure to include at the bottom a reminder that you are a ReliaBid member and that if the buyer refuses to pay they may be subject to credit reporting. You can also CC sellersupport@reliabid.com so buyers see a record of the transaction has been recorded with ReliaBid.
  • Increase buyer confidence by displaying the ReliaBid logo on your storefront
  • Include very clear instructions on how the winning bidder can pay for the item(s) won. Include links within the auction to payment websites or mailing addresses.
  • Clearly state in the emailed invoice the date payment is due with a reminder that if they do not pay by a set date you have the option of debt collection open to you via your ReliaBid membership.
  • Use language that is both professional and clear. Don't leave anything open to interpretation!
  • Contact the winning bidder by both email and phone. Confirm their contact information, such as phone number, address and email address. This way they recognize that you have means of getting in contact with them should they decide not to complete the transaction.
  • Include multiple ways for the buyer to contact you. Include in the invoice both an email address and a telephone number.
  • Be willing to share possible fault with the buyer for any mishaps, in an effort to show that you are willing to work with him or her.
